Ganna worked hard all her life to achieve something. Since childhood, she dreamed to live in the big city. For this, she worked hard all her life, was a nurse, worked at the plant until she was promoted. She earned for an apartment in Donetsk. Then she was working at the market. Her family started to live good, had apartment, car and own shop. It seemed there was everything for happy and decent old age, but... Ganna remembers: "The war has started, we didn't sleep at night. We wait until June, took only summer clothes because we hoped that war is no long. They went to relatives. We thought in a month everything will be over and we will return back. But it didn't. I was wealthy, I had a good apartment, and here I had the only bag with summer clothes. In October I find out that my shop was bombed. Because of stress a lot of diseases appeared. War broke me. When we lived there the money was important for me. Why I wanted it I don't know. And then nothing became important".

Yuriy lived in the center of Donetsk, 4 km from the airport. Own house, garden, car – a life of the former engineer was calm. When the military conflict started he had to leave his native place. He sold a car, the house was destroyed due to shelling. He is renting a small apartment together with the wife. Now, when the health and wellbeing got worse because of everything he went through, and everything is left in Donetsk, they more than ever need the support of those who understand them.

Elderly beneficiaries of 'Everybody Can' Foundation had to leave their homes against their will and fled to nowhere. The acts of kindness and wish to help are very important for them. We are raising funds for medication for 9 elderly. Join us!
