Hear with your heart

Children, who are born with hearing and speech disorders, have a special gift - their hearts are very sensitive. And it is so hard but so important to have the opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings! Be heard and understood by people. And you can help us make the world to hear them.

Such children tend to express the fortitude and delicacy of feelings through dance, mime, acting. "Living Water" foundation has created dance theater "Hearing the heart" for the students of the Crimean Republican boarding school for deaf. It was there that children and teenagers with hearing impairments and speech disorders (deaf and hard of hearing) learn to tell stories of their hearts through body language, learn to hear each other.

The project helps to develop not only creative and physical abilities of children but also helps them make friends. Members of the theater (and there are over 50 ones) become winners of national competitions. The children create a magical and colorful world through the dance where there are no empty words but there’re only meaningful gestures.

To continue their studies and grow in body language the talented young people need a dance hall and minimal music equipment. Our foundation is actively raising money to lease premises and equipment. Both we and the kids will be very grateful for any help, for every hryvna!

Sometimes words just keep people from understanding each other. Try to listen to these children and understand.
