Give Marian a chance to hear the world!

In March 2025, the project “Give Maryan a Chance to Hear the World!” was launched. Its goal was to raise funds for the purchase of hearing aids for Maryan Havrylov, who was diagnosed with severe bilateral impairment of both the conductive and perceptive hearing systems. The total required amount was 115,000 UAH.

In July, the fundraising was successfully completed, and on July 25 the payment for the hearing aids was made. Due to family circumstances, Maryan and his mother were able to visit the doctor only on September 9.

We are sincerely glad that Maryan received the devices right at the beginning of the school year, as this will greatly facilitate his learning and development.

Severe bilateral hearing loss means that without special compensatory devices a child:

• can hardly hear the voices of parents and teachers;

• lags behind in speech development, which complicates communication with peers;

• faces difficulties in learning, socialization, and even safety (not hearing warning signals).
