Give Dmytro the opportunity to hear

Dmytro was born at 7 months of pregnancy, and for the first weeks doctors fought for his life, the child was connected to a ventilator. When the baby's condition stabilized, it turned out that Dmytro could not hear. Since the hearing impairment was detected at an early stage, there was a chance to restore his hearing, so intensive treatment was started, which lasted for a year, but unfortunately, it did not bring results

When Dima turned 4 years old, his parents had to send their son to a special kindergarten where children with hearing impairments are educated and brought up. It was a painful decision, because the child is there around the clock and is cut off from his parents. After kindergarten, Dmytro also entered a specialized school, which is located 100 kilometers from home.

Now Dmytro is 13 years old, his diagnosis is “profound hearing impairment (grade 4)”. At school, the boy studies sign language. Dmytro is very active, intelligent and capable, he loves volleyball, goes to competitions and wins first places for his team.

His parents have already bought him hearing aids twice, but the ones he has now are too weak for him. Unfortunately, the family cannot afford to buy high-quality, expensive devices for their son.
