Give me faith!

"My child does not go out for almost 2 years, because instead of the bone, she has a piece of iron, and a mixture of cement with antibiotics. We struggle with the disease for 10 years, and are ready to do anything so that treatment would be effective and help her stand up. Now Ivanka sees the world only from the balcony, and communicating with friends on social networks and Skype",- says Valentyna, Ivanka’s mother.

In late 2005, Ivanka was brought to the department of pediatric oncology. After a long (20 procedures) chemotherapy, surgery on partial removal of diseased bone and endoprosthesis establishment in 2007, the girl returned to active life. But the trouble again returned to the family after 4 years. The endoprosthesiswas rejected, so it had to be replaced by another one, but this time Ukrainian implant did not bring positive results. The mother and girl turned for advice to the Kharkiv Institute of Spine and Joint named after Sytenko. Upon examination it was decided that the implant produced in Germany can help in this situation and put a young girl to her feet. However, the cost of the prosthesis appeared to be sky-high for the family and amounts to 367 935.98 UAH. We hope to raise a part of the needed sum.

Ivanka does not know when the required amount will be collected, but the young lady believes that caring people would help her to buy a new implant. Having survived so many operations, Ivanka hopes that this one will put her on the feet, and she will return to an active lifestyle.
