The gift of hearing

Andriana is 11 years old, and together with her younger sister Sofia, who is 9 years old, they are being raised by their grandmother. The girls have a difficult life, their parents were deprived of their rights. Andriana's grandmother has been with the girl since her birth, rejoicing in her granddaughter's success and waiting for her to speak her first words. When Andriana was 2.5 years old, they went to the doctors and found out that the girl could not hear. Then she was diagnosed with bilateral deafness of the 4th degree.

Andriana was given a free hearing aid, but unfortunately, it was too weak. Her grandmother enrolled the girl in a specialized school where she started learning sign language. She enjoys school very much, but this does not negate the girl's desire to hear.

"Often Andriana comes up and asks 'I want to hear', which is hard to understand," says her grandmother. The girl is smart, clever, has a good memory and is constantly striving to learn new things, loves to draw, make different figures out of plasticine, and likes to make dumplings and fry pancakes at home with her grandmother.
