Life as a Birthday Gift for Bogdan

There was a lot of grief in Bohdan Vokhramov's life - he lost his father and mother at the age of year and a half. Luckily relatives took the boy to their family and it seemed like bad things were all left behind. New mom and dad, brothers and sisters, friends at school and in the yard, a strong family, where everyone loves each other and are always ready to help. Unfortunately after some time Bohdan became ill - doctors found blood cancer. It is not only difficult to treat his disease, but also very expensive.

A regular family from Zaporizhia region has no money to cure the boy, and they should be found right now - time is working against Bohdan, and love and care can not help in a situation like this. Today Bohdan is turning 7 years old and only together we can give him a chance to have more birthdays in his life... Everyone has those moments when there is no time to think. We must make our decisions really quickly when it affects the rest of someone's life. That is exactly what happened in the family of Natasha and Valera. 5 years ago they adopted their little nephew Bohdan right in the middle of the night. That night Bohdan lost his father, who was stabbed by his drunk mother. Neighbors called Natalia and reported the incident.

At that time Natasha and Valera had three children, but their decision to adopt Bohdan was immediate. It was decided so quickly the he didn't even spend a night at the orphanage.While they were doing paperwork for Bohdan's adoption, they also decided to adopt one more child - a girl - to keep the gender balance in the family. And right after that another child was born in their happy family. Now Natasha and Valera six children. Until last December everything went well. Valera worked as a mechanic during the summer, Natasha looked after the children and their farm (land, bulls, pigs, cows etc.) in their native Maryanovka (Zaporizhia region). They had enough money to provide food and other necessities to their kids.

In September Bohdan turned 6 and went to the first grade, but till November for some reason he became very tired. Usually active and playful boy immediately fell asleep and did not wake up until the evening after returning from school. His parents thought the reason was tiredness at school, so they picked up vitamins for the boy. Soon a facial rash appeared on Bohdan's face, so the parents went to the dermatologist, who prescribed a soothing ointment. It helped, but instead the body of the child went all in bruises. A trace remained even after a scratch behind the ear. Within a month Bohdan and his mom moved to Regional Children's Hospital and he received a rare and difficult diagnosis: juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia. The disease occurs in 1-2% among all kids with children's blood cancer. However, it was diagnosed at the right time and we can still help Bohdan.

To cure Bohdan, he needs to fly to Italy. In Verona there is a hospital Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Integrata Verona, UOC Oncoematologia Pediatrica, where doctor Simone Cesaro works. He is ready to make unrelated bone marrow transplantation for Bohdan. Natasha and Valera used to decide all problems by themselves. But such a disease and such amount of money is to much for them.
