Hemodialysis is a procedure which people suffering from acute renal failure all familiar very well. Hemodialysis is responsible for the patient's blood purifying from its intoxication when their kidneys fail to meet their blood filtering function.

Nowadays Hemodialysis Department in the City Hospital №10 in Odessa, Ukraine sustains lives of 97 patients. Each of them gets connected to hemodialysis machine three times a week for 4-5 hours. In general, each procedure can be described as following:
patient reclines in a special chair, into his elbow two catheters are being inserted: one takes blood for hemodialysis machine where it goes through a filter (filter removes the waste substances from the blood, as well as an excess of liquid and salt) and returns to a patient through another. The procedure is painful for some patients but they have no other choice because they simply want to live.

There are only 21 hemodialysis machines in the department and they are constantly getting broken. Also, water and concentrated dialyzed solution preparation system fail very often. All this equipment is in need of constant repair. It is much cheaper and easier to repair it rather than buying new one. Today, therefore, your help is needed for a dialysis center and its patients.

We have received a request for assistance from the Ambulatory hemodialysis department from The City Clinical Hospital №10. The need the following replacement parts:

- 1 piece of Solenoid valve, installation set 1 / 2 inch, 24V, alternating current.
- centrifugal pump for Granumiks apparatus which is being used for manufacturing the dialysis solution concentrate.
- power supply device for hemodialysis apparatus named Fresenius 5008.

The total cost of all these parts is UAH 104 132 or about USD 3 856.
