A few months ago wounded soldiers who are in a coma never been treated. We decided to change it. Just a few months of hard work and with the great support of benefactors and volunteers, we have created almost first in the country specialized intensive care for wounded soldiers in a coma at the Main Military Clinical hospital. It remains important steps. And we do need your help.

Our defenders lay fainting in unsuitable premises and not repaired military hospitals. They defended the country and are the most vulnerable. The period of change has started. We are going to raise 101 063 UAH for furniture in specialized manipulation rooms and for furniture and consumables in the lounge for relatives of soldiers. The department must include manipulation room to provide vital necessary procedures for patients. The cabinet must be sterile purely because medical furniture in this room are processed daily special solutions, and the material from which it’s made must have specific characteristics. We found the certified vendors of furniture from Kyiv and Lviv. They will be able to fulfill our orders. And the sooner we will collect the required amount, the faster we open intensive care department. There are 2-3 weeks left for opening.

While fixing the old hospital building for the future department, we consulted with experienced specialists in palliative care. They were able to provide us with invaluable advice on the different nuance treatment of these patients. Our main goal - to create department where guys can come out of a coma, can wake up and go through rehabilitation. We do not want to artificially maintain years of their lives, we want to return to their families. We want to fight for every new breath and independent step.

We create not just a department with monitors and special devices. We create conditions for patients and their relatives where music will be heard because we are sure that patients in a coma able to hear everything that is going around. Paintings will be hang because we want the guys after the release seen not only tubes and white robes but saw beauty. We want relatives who care daily has opportunity to rest. Now they have nowhere to eat, no place to sit, nothing but pain and time that incredibly long stretches every day without giving up any changes in the condition of their patients. We want guys doing highly skilled professionals who will take special training on treatment and care of specific patients.

We want to be ready to meet our heroes.

We called this project "Dignity" because our guys deserve decent attitude and treatment. There are no "but" or "no." We must do everything possible to bring them back to consciousness and return to normal life. Let's return our heroes together!
