When a severe incurable disease is diagnosed in two out of four children at the same time, it is especially difficult to understand. It is impossible to describe, express or understand.

At one time, this is how two younger sons in the Tatarenko family were diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. It is a genetic disease that seriously affects functioning of all internal organs and systems. Since then, the whole family is in a state of constant stress. Boys need medication, dozens of daily inhalations, that can not be missed or postponed, they also need regular physiotherapy. Only a comprehensive treatment gives the opportunity to control the disease and not to allow it to destroy the body. But it is too expensive for one family to provide Bogdan and Ruslan with all the necessary medicines, equipment and its consumables. They have been managing for a long time on their own, but this year they are asking for help.

Like many of their healthy peers, the boys enjoy making plasticine figures, drawing, collecting Lego, playing with pets, and walking around their hometown. Instead, most of the day is spent on procedures to preserve the lungs – their ability to breathe.

Today, the family is asking for help to buy breathing simulators, a pulse oximeter to measure blood oxygen saturation and consumables for inhalers. That is both for Bogdan and Ruslan to have an opportunity to live further.
