Painful smile

Our first acquaintance with Artem happened in November 2013. Artem was smiling, but we had that shocking perception of this one year old child's external manifestations because of the disease he had - the huge benign tumor in his head and neck was growing incredibly fast and blocking his breathing which made doctors implement the tracheotomy tube with help of which he could and still can breath. Artem needs to conduct a series of urgent operations. And he cannot go through it all without your help.

As he is such a little boy it's so much easier to pass through such difficult treatment now. The main thing is that the tumor is amenable and after each operation it will become smaller and soon the boy will be able to breathe on his own without depending on the tube in his throat.

These days Artem doesn't keep in touch with other people much. His mother is worried the something can happen to the tracheal tube he has so day and night she is watching her son. Artem is 2 years old now, time goes by and there's not much left to become the age to go to school, to his peers... Will Artem live a happy life? Of course we are asking you, dear donors, to help him to have one!

Artem's mother has been looking for the good clinic that agrees to prescribe the right treatment to her son. As a result she's found Ichilov Hospital in Israel. Dr. Ari Diro suggested to remove such huge tumor through several operations. So in 18th of July 2014 Artem's mom with help of donors took him to this hospital. Artem was examined and had the major operation to remove most of the lymphangioma (tumors). Artem spent a month in the hospital, underwent surgery well and doctors were satisfied with their work.

The preparation for the second part of treatment is going on now. It will be not less difficult and the boy will also be examined and have the surgery to remove the lymphangioma. Doctors plan to begin the process of removing the tracheal tube - decannulation. Amounts of money that clinic needs Artem's mother simply does not have. We ask donors to respond and help Artem. Please!..
