Let's return a child home

If a child with autism is lost, we could metaphorically say that it’s a deaf, dumb and blind child who’s lost! Such children don’t fear cars, heights and they’re bad at navigation. They can’t neither introduce themselves, nor ask for help. And people on the street have no idea that a child needs a help.The goal of the project is to produce “an information card for non-speaking child”. This card will inform people and the police that this is an autistic child. The information on the card would help to contact child’s parents.

Parents of autistic children are afraid that their children can be lost. It’s impossible to describe how the parents feel in such situation! The goal of the project is to raise 5,000 UAH for production of “an information card for non-speaking child”, in 1,000 copies. The purpose of this action is to inform people and law-enforcement authorities that a child has autism or another developmental disability, and has problems with communication. Information on the card will allow getting in touch with the parents, and informing them on where the child is.

In Ukraine the number of missing children with autism has been raised. September 19, 2013, Malinovka (Kharkivs’ka oblast), Denys Salnik, 5 yo boy’s gone missing. Denys has autism, but fortunately he was found and returned home after three days of active search.

October 3, 2013, Rivens’ka oblast, 8 yo boy with autism died under the car wheels. The police found that a lot of people had seen the child, but seems like nobody cared why that child was alone in the fields. This is a serious problem for every city and region, and it should be solved.
