Let’s bring the smile back to Marichka

In February of 2013 a trouble knocked the door of the Kunichaks. 15-year old Masha’s cervical lymph nodes got enlarged. Everybody thought it was just a regular flu, which can be easily cured. However, it was not so. She was diagnosed with a 4-stage lymphogranulomatosis. This modest family simply has no money to pay for the treatment. The only chance the parents have to save their child is through our help!

Masha was never sick before. In summer she helped with the chores in the garden and in the house. She took part in the regional running competition and took the third place. Just a short while ago, in the beginning of February she went dancing with her friends.

Now Masha is in bed, sad and helpless. She is asking about her diagnosis all the time. In the beginning of treatment she was worried she was not attending classes and was worried that she would loose her hair. Now it seems that she does not care, she is lying quiet, does not speak and cannot eat, she has lost 5 kg.

Marichka’s family happened not to have money at the moment, as her grandparents are sick. The family has been saving up money to buy a place to live, but now they are forced to use this money to pay for their daughter’s treatment. But it is still not enough to pay for the expensive treatment. At the moment, the mother is not working and the father does not gain much. There are two other children in the family, and they need attention as well.

The mother and all the relatives are addressing all the people who care with the tears in their eyes and the pain in their hearts: please, help! Please, help any way you can, whether with money, advice, support or just with a kind word!
