Mercy here is an everyday routine work. In the Charity Center “Stefania” we are trying to help everyone who appeal with any request.The person who has got in trouble sometimes comes to “Stefania” as to the last shelter… person is on the verge of despair.

Ambulances and hospitals often refuse to help people who look nor presentable. A big city in our times is considered as a “machine for happiness” which throws away a lot of people to the trash. If you are an old lonely invalid or homeless, if your rate of living appeared to be such that you cannot take yourself in order, than more likely that medical institution will not accept you…

That’s why one of the most important themes of “Stefania” in the way to help homeless, became a medical assistance. In the Medical center of Day Center “Stefania” we care about health and lives of needy people. Here we provide therapeutic and surgical care for free. Here we provide work to prevent and reduce overall morbidity.

It just seems that homeless have less problem in summer. Actually, wounds, sores and frostbite which they got in winter and appeared without treatment, exactly in summer are getting worse: do not heal, destroy the body more.
Often in summer drunk scumbags set fire to homeless. If such hapless stays miraculously alive, the burns of hands and face will be anyway. And the most important in the treatment of wounds – regular bandaging.

There are in our free Medical Center a lot of kinds of wound are treated: festering wounds, often with worms, we treat burns and frostbite, make bandaging. Even simple wound which was not treated in time can lead to amputation and handle it yourself with wound for homeless is very difficult especially on the street.

Our Medical Center needs 120 packages of bandages and 60 meters of gauze per months!
We ask everyone to help us to equip our Medical Center with bandages!

We launch a fundraising project for supply Medical Center with bandages and gauze for a half of a year.
