Shelter for families that suffered from the war.11

Every person builds their life brick by brick: they are born, they learn, they get an education, they work, they have children, they plan for old age surrounded by loved ones. Sometimes a single blow of fate is enough – war or illness, the loss of a job or a loved one – and in a matter of minutes, life changes completely. In the conditions of war, many Ukrainians find themselves without a roof over their heads. When a family home is destroyed and everything around collapses, a person can lose faith and fall into despair. It is precisely at this critical moment that they need advice, compassion, and help that will restore their ability to endure.

Every day we see people at our Center: mothers with infants, elderly people carrying their belongings in bundles, guardians with children, and many others.

Our mini-shelter has become for these people not simply a temporary refuge. It is a place where, from the rubble of a life, we begin to build a new foundation. We restore the ability not only to breathe, but to feel safe. We provide clean bedding and a warm shower, transport assistance, social and psychological support, as well as help with medications, hygiene products, food, and more. Our psychologists work with anxiety, panic attacks, and nightmares, giving people the chance to recover.

But our capacity to help is not unlimited. Thanks to you – those who hear the pain of others – we will provide 12 of those in our care with the basic necessities of life, cover the work of a social worker and a driver, purchase food, medications, and hygiene products, and pay for utilities and telecommunication services.
