Food aid to the elderly people

The amount was collected and transferred to the foundation's account, after which food worth UAH 46,000 was purchased to form 40 food packages. Employees of the foundation were involved in packing the food packages. The packages were delivered by Nova Poshta to the territorial social service center of Desnianskyi district of Kyiv, where information about the most vulnerable group of the population - lonely elderly people - was previously collected and the number of people in need of food assistance was determined. 
 One food package worth UAH 1,150 includes basic food items: cereals (buckwheat, rice, oatmeal, semolina), pasta, canned fish and meat, condensed milk, butter, sugar, tea, cookies, etc. Such a set contributes to the health and positive psychological state of the elderly. Pensioners feel supported and not abandoned by society. The food parcel allows not only to meet the nutritional needs for 2-2.5 months, but also to ease the financial burden in difficult times. Many pensioners in our country constantly face financial difficulties, social isolation and health problems. They are often unable to buy the necessary food on their own, which affects their moral and physical well-being.
