Psychological support during the war
For over a year now, people in Ukraine have been living with a sense of fear for themselves and their loved ones. Even in peacetime, stress was a part of everyone's life and lurked in various situations, but with the advent of a full-scale war, it has increased many times over and become a daily occurrence.
Prolonged anxiety results in poor health, fluctuations in blood pressure and heart rate, problems with the cardiovascular and immune systems, sleep disturbances, and even depression. Therefore, it is not surprising that chronic stress is one of the main causes of various diseases. Also, more and more people suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder and its consequences. Meetings with a psychologist or psychotherapist help to avoid this or help to cope with changes in the state.
Therefore, a psychologist and a psychotherapist at our Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation in Kyiv will conduct individual and group sessions for adults, children, and families offline and online, helping them cope with difficult events. Thanks to the project, we will be able to support 11 adults and 13 children who are currently receiving help at our Center. These are people from Kyiv, Kyiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Luhansk regions.
Your support for our project will help parents and children prevent the onset of post-traumatic disorders and their consequences caused by the horrors of war.
