The Ucare.me is an online project aimed to long-term psychological assistance to Ukrainians affected by the war.
Our charitable foundation created the Ucare.me project to give every Ukrainian affected by the war the opportunity to receive free psychological help. The main goal of the project is to take care of the mental health of Ukrainians, inspite of their age, gender, place of residence and wealth. We need to popularize receiving psychological support in society and support psychologists.
Ucare.me is an online platform for Ukrainians, so the location is the territory of Ukraine and the territory of other countries where Ukrainian refugees are. You can get help in two clicks – just go to our website and register. Consultations can take place both online and offline (the client's request) and last 50 minutes. The platform for consultations can be Telegram, Viber, Zoom or Skype.
Firstly, the sustainability of the project is the long-term psychological assistance to people affected by the war: who went throught the occupation, were forced to leave home, watched the separation/death of the near people or relatives, suffered from physical or moral violence, etc. We understand that 2-3 sessions will rarely be able to solve a psychological problem, so we offer 10 sessions, if it is necessary, the number can increase or decrease. The client can make an appointment with the psychologist at a certain time/ day of the week online or offline and consistently deal with solving his problem/ problems. Accordingly, the psychologist will have a stable income.
We have signed memoranda with Ukrainian psychological associations, which have selected for us qualified psychologists, with experience and a good reputation, according to European standards of psychotherapeutic education. Associations of psychologists we cooperate with:
-
Ukrainian Psychoanalytic Society
-
Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University
-
Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University
-
Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University
-
NGO "Institute of Medical and Social Problems of Vulnerable Population Categories"
-
Association of Psychologists of Ukraine
In the quarter of the project, 112 psychologists and psychotherapists who are the members of the above-mentioned Ukrainian associations. So, we guarantee the proper quality of the sessions.
Why are we looking for funding? We believe that the work of psychologists should be paid. One of our sessions costs 1 214 UAH, which is a standard price of a psychological consultation. The amount we raise on dobro.ua, will cover 1 month of the project work, that is, we will be able to provide 1,000 psychological consultations! (Which help ~200 people (with the calculation of 5 consultations per person).
During the first month of the project realization, we have already conducted more than 450 successful consultations. Help us move forward and save the mental health of as many Ukrainians as possible!
*According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, in the next few years, about 15 million Ukrainians will need psychological support due to the suffering and losses caused by the war. More than 90% of people had at least one of the symptoms of PTSD, while almost the half (45%) of respondents admit that they need to "take the courage" to get psychological assistance. Another part of citizens (30%) are ready to receive psychological help only on free basis.
