Zagoriy Foundation and Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace (UBB) announced a nationwide fundraiser for the purchase of 50 ventilators and other medical devices in Ukrainian hospitals. Every Ukrainian can make a contribution and help ensure that hospitals are needed to combat coronavirus. In a pandemic COVID-19 ventilators help to save the lives of patients with severe complications. Using the experience of other countries, the Ukrainians are trying to be proactive and install the necessary equipment prior to the beginning of the epidemic.

The purpose of the All-Ukrainian fundraising is to purchase 50 ventilators and other medical devices , deliver to Ukraine and install in hospitals.

Also we are talking about ventilators manufactured in the USA of the following models:

VELA – the cost of one set is USD 26940.00

Bellavista 1000 – the cost of one set is USD 32570.00

AVEA – the cost of one set is USD 39700.00

The devices can be delivered to the country as soon as communication between the USA and Europe is restored. The estimated delivery date for the devices is the end of May. They will help doctors save lives during and after the epidemic.

According to official information, in the intensive care units in Ukrainian hospitals there are about 3,600 ventilators (8.6 per 100 thousand inhabitants). Of these, in infectious diseases hospitals identified to provide medical care to patients with confirmed coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19 disease, there are about 605 in all of Ukraine.

"I believe that at all times ought to conquer humanity. Before the society became a challenge in the form of an epidemic, therefore, needs to integrate, to raise funds and to set the apparatus in different parts of Ukraine," Eugenia Mazurenko, Director of Zagoriy Foundation.

"Our goal is very simple and achievable. Combine the efforts of thousands of people and representatives of responsible business to together raise funds for the purchase of modern medical equipment in Ukrainian hospitals. Now more than ever Ukraine requires the joint actions of all people, because only together we can defeat the COVID-19 epidemic. Make sure that our relatives and friends in any corner of Ukraine receive medical attention on time, and that doctors do their work efficiently and save lives. Together we can do more than alone", Iryna Gutsal, Director of Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace (UBB).

Ukrainian philanthropic marketplace is a platform through which everyone can make a contribution to the solution of public problems. For 8 years UBB brings thousands of people around the idea of charity.
