News June 2026

Thanks to the sensors, Mariana has turned managing her diabetes into a game. She’s learning to count the carbs in her food and keep her glucose levels under control. Without them, she might lose that sense of security and safety again.

Freestyle Libre 2 sensors reduce the risk of “sugar spikes” and help prevent complications affecting the blood vessels, heart, kidneys, and eyesight.

The disease may have developed as a result of stress: Mariana’s home and her family’s house were nearly destroyed during the shelling of Severodonetsk. In March 2022, they moved to Dnipro.

For Mariana, the sensors are another step toward a life where diabetes doesn’t dictate her every day. No more injections or pain, and a lower risk of dangerous complications. She’s back to walking outside and spending time with friends. And at home, she’s always greeted by her loyal friend—a French bulldog named Gray.
