Loneliness as a verdict

Society turned away, relatives forgot and the government reminds about them only before elections. They – are invalids of war and labor, combatants, families of the fallen. They receive minimal pensions without any additional sources of income. Red Cross helps such people. Red Cross employers buy medicines for poor people monthly. You may joint this noble program with the donation.

They are most than 20 thousand in Lviv region. They are left and forgotten by relatives and by the society. They are invalids of war, labor, combatants and family members of the fallen. They receive minimal pensions and do not have other sources of financial support. They are invalids or people with chronic diseases. They are lonely grand-mothers and grand-fathers, which are in strong need of care and support.

Lonely elderly people of Lviv region are under the support of Lviv Regional Organization of Ukrainian Red Cross Society.

Any person in civilized society has a right for support. Unfortunately, because of oversight, loneliness, poverty or disease, quite often elderly people die at their homes. In most cases, the disease could be prevented or easily treated. But pensioners do not have an opportunity to buy medicine, prices of which are too high for poor people.

Lviv Regional Organization of Ukrainian Red Cross Society is non-governmental, non-profit, charitable organization that supports the most vulnerable categories in the society. In particular, they care about bed patients and people, limited in moving.

Red Cross carries its work only thanks to support of the people. Within the program “Red Cross Medicine for lonely elderly people” the organization buys necessary medicine for pensioners every month. And now they need 25 thousand UAH.
