Sashunya: the love of a large family

Sashunya was abandoned and unwanted... Suddenly she became a beloved daughter and sister in a big family. And a whole new story began in her life. We hope it will be a happy one!

A severe genetic diagnosis in a child is always a shock for parents. Parents fully adjust their lives to the needs of the child, go through all the stages of acceptance. But in Oleksandra's life it was not like that. She met her mom, dad, brothers and sisters at the age of 4 a few months ago. The large family found out about her serious illness right away, and everyone decided to fight it together. 

Cystic fibrosis disrupts the functioning of little Sasha's entire body. Thick sputum accumulates in her lungs, and food is poorly absorbed. The child needs to do inhalations, take several types of medications and perform physiotherapy exercises every day – now she and her mother are learning to do this together so that Alexandra can live a long and quality life.

The documents for the state provision of medicines are in the process of being processed. But now we need to help the family hold out. We have to buy a supply of medicines and high-calorie special food for the first time. My parents and I also planned to buy a sterilizer for medical equipment to prevent the transmission of infections. 

It is easier to fight together.
