On 20.03.2024, Anna Dmytrenko, born in 2017, underwent surgery.

At birth, Anna had no health problems.  The diagnosis was made later, when the paediatrician heard a heart murmur during an examination. This was followed by an examination by a paediatric cardiologist, a heart ultrasound and a diagnosis of a 2.9 mm patent ductus arteriosus.

Now Anna is 6 years old and goes to the first grade. The girl is very inquisitive, diligent, good at school and has many friends. But because of the disease, she gets tired quickly, feels weak and complains of headaches.

The family lives in Turbiv, Lviv region.  Mum works as a primary school teacher at a local school. The father is a combat veteran, has a disability due to his military service, so he has certain work restrictions.

The cost of the implant for Anna's surgery is 41,000 UAH and this is too much for the girl's family. The family turned to us for help.

On 20.03.2024, Anna underwent endovascular surgery. The occluder for the operation was purchased thanks to YBS International.

We sincerely thank our regular donor, YBS International, for saving Anna Dmytrenko's heart.
