20.03.2024 Porosyuk Victoria, born in 2020, underwent surgery.
Victoria was born a healthy girl. The girl was diagnosed with an open arterial duct at the age of 5 months. The doctor advised to wait until Victoria turned one year old. There was a chance that the defect would close on its own and no surgery would be required. But the defect did not close.
The disease prevents the girl from living a full life. Victoria is now 3 years old and needs endovascular surgery to close her heart defect.
The Amosov Institute doctors will perform the surgery free of charge, but they need an implant, which the family simply cannot afford. Viktoriia's father is a combat veteran who received a disability in May 2023 while serving in the Armed Forces. The family turned to us for help.
