A chance for a new life!
Tanya was 20 years old when a terrible illness struck her body and changed her life. Doctors made a terrible diagnosis: multiple sclerosis. More than 10 years have passed since then; at the moment Tanya is wheelchair-bound, she suffers from poor memory and speech disorder. Tanya lives with her mother, who is also a disabled person, in advanced years and she needs help herself. The girl was recommended to undergo treatment at the Atomska Banja Rehabilitation Center, which specializes in the treatment of multiple sclerosis. Thousands of people who fell ill with this disease, after treatment there threw away their canes, crutches, wheelchairs. In the park, in front of the hospital entrance, there is a stone with a carved inscription: “Multiple sclerosis is buried here”, as a symbol of victory and new life.
Before her illness, Tanya set sail, immediately after receiving the specialty of a baker. The girl then could not even imagine that this sail would become for her the last bright event and a pleasant memory for her whole life... Tanya broke her arm; she was taken off the ship and then the disease was revealed. Doctors in Odesa said the disease was incurable. For a long time, Tanya and her mother tried to stop the disease in various ways, but they failed to achieve any significant improvements. In 2012, Tanya underwent treatment at the A.A. Maksimov Hematology and Cell Therapy Clinic, where she was provided with high-dose immunosuppressive therapy with the support of autologous hematopoietic cells. In 2016-2017, the girl underwent replacement of the hip joints, as there were clear signs of arthrosis. It was difficult for Tanya to walk and she had to sit on a wheelchair to move over long distances. And she moves around the apartment with a walker.
At the moment, Tanya practically does not communicate with anyone, her friends are no-show. Despite this and her difficult diagnoses: multiple sclerosis, tetraparesis, dysfunction of the pelvic organs, Tanya does not lose heart, remains the same friendly, smiling and believes that there is a chance to improve her condition, a chance for a new life! The bill for treatment in the Atomska Banja Rehabilitation Center is UAH 50429.00. There are simply no such funds in the family of two women with disabilities.
We kindly ask you to support this project and give Tanya the opportunity to get out of the wheelchair!
