Six-year-old Andrii has developmental issues. He was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and speech delay, and in March 2024, the boy was granted disability status.
From the first months of his life, Andrii's development was difficult: delayed motor skills, increased muscle tone, hip dysplasia, which is why he wore a Gnevkovskyi brace for a long time and only started walking at the age of one and a half.
At the age of two, it became apparent that the boy's speech was not developing, and instead, stereotypical behavior appeared. After examinations, the boy was diagnosed with autism. Due to communication difficulties, Andrii attends a private school with small classes.
For almost three years, he has been undergoing constant rehabilitation: ABA therapy, speech therapy, psychology, sensory integration, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. State programs cover only part of the sessions, while continuous and regular work is necessary for progress.
The family is asking for help to pay for another course of rehabilitation and give Andrii a chance to develop, learn, and gradually start speaking.
