Nicole does not speak and does not understand spoken language, but she recognizes her family by their voices. She adores her sister Anya and brother Artem. Nicole takes the anticonvulsant drug Mezacar daily, the sedatives Truxal and Risoplept, she regularly needs Legcolax and Betargin, sometimes Microlax and Nurofen.

She is selective in her food, unable to chew, so her mother chops everything. Every day, the girl eats a package of Gerber milk cereal from Nestle.
