Another step for Kyrylo

Kyrylo was born on December 9, 2008 by caesarean sections with a weight of 3,900 g, 54 cm and 9 scores on the Apgar scale. The boy grew up an absolutely healthy and relaxed child, but at 7 months the head began to grow, the doctors beat the alarm and sent the baby to the inspection. The survey showed that brain ventricles at a rate of 3-4 mm were expanded to 40 mm, the reason for this is cyst III ventricle. Only the operation could save the child. The family decided to surpass.

The operation passed, according to the doctor, successfully. However, after her, Kyrylo had a non-permanent squint (after a few months it disappeared), but the physical condition of the boy became worse than it was before surgery: Kyrylo stopped on their own, get up in a crib, walk with support. After that, the struggle for the full life of Kyrylo began.

Kyrylo passed its first rehabilitation course in 2 years and 1 month. Was lost a lot of time. The boy is constantly undergoing rehabilitation, visits the inclusive resource center. For these 12 years, a lot managed to achieve: from a helpless child, which, after surgery, could not even sit, to a boy who moves with the help of wands for walking and tries to make the first independent steps. Kyrylo goes to grade 5 of the usual school (according to the program of inclusive education), loves to attend school, because he has many friends and there he will find out a lot of new things. The boy gets good grades, his beloved item is English, Kyrylo is constantly involved in literary competitions.

Kyrylo has a dream: to travel independently, without any help. But in order to come true his dream, you need to pass permanent rehabilitation courses, and this requires financial costs. Unfortunately, my mother's financial opportunities dried up, she cannot go to work, because it should be with his son constantly, even at school to bring it to the toilet, in the dining room, translate from class to class. Mom brings up Kyrylo herself.

Now Kyrylo is already 12 years old, and not all rehabilitation centers can help adult children, here you need to connect social rehabilitation. One of the few centers working with such adult children and where there is social rehabilitation and ergotherapy, there is a rehabilitation center "Modrichi".
