It's not too late, I'll walk! 3
For the first time, Andrii's mother, a widow with two children from the "gray zone", turned to us with the words: "Andrii is trying very hard, and if we do not miss treatment, by the summer of 2018 he may already be doing his first steps. While the son is small, he can still be can go himself, later it will be late... I'm begging you, please help!". The boy was born a healthy baby. However, after a severe acute meningoencephalitis at 3 months, Andrii was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
To regain a child's health he needs a constant rehabilitation. Mother uses all the possibilities for her son to regularly undergo treatment, tried several options of rehabilitation centers and sanatoriums, but the most effective was the Center for the Medical Rehabilitation of Disabled Children "Apis-Meliks".
With the help of the UBB, the kid underwent 2 rehabilitation courses in this center and could be proud of his achievements – he began to actively be engaged in the treatment process, there were significant improvements in speech, improved control over his body, movements became less chaotic, and he learned to stand! The first independent steps are still ahead, but Andriy is already trying to move the legs on the bars, which a kind neighbor made.
Doctors are encouraging, that the kid is promising and he has all the chances to fully recover, he just should not stop! Help Andrii to get on a regular rehabilitation course!
