What is left of Nikita? 4

Many of you may already know and remember Nikita who comes from Slavyansk, Donetsk region. A boy, who struggles for right of being healthy and happy together with his mother. She loves her son to the moon and back. Now he is already 12 years old, and all these years his mother does everything within her power for her child who undergoes constant rehabilitations and treatment. Unfortunately, the boy can’t sit, eat by himself, talk and serve himself, so he needs constant care and guardianship.

Mom brings her son up single-handed. Social benefits to population are so miserable, that’s why she has to work hard. She is forced to leave such a seriously ill child with an advanced age granny, sometimes just alone. Indeed, a lot is required to ensure Nikita’s full life – pampers, specifics for rehabilitation, orthopedic footwear, medicine and special nutrition.

Children like him live with constant pain; they don’t know what a normal body condition is. Sometimes they have sleepless days and nights. And in order to alleviate his physical condition so that contractures won’t appear, Nikita needs constant courses of treatment at hospital and rehabilitations.

However, the boy’s mother is short of funds and doesn’t have any support; she has to make every effort in order to bring her son up single-handed. Like every mommy, she dreams of hearing such a cherished word as “mom” at least once in her life, to see how her son copes with something and does something by himself. According to her words, it was very difficult for her to get Nikita, and it’s by no means easy with him now, but he is the best and the most beloved baby in the whole world. Let's help this beautiful family, who doesn’t surrender and believes that they will cope with any difficulties on the way to happiness!
