Step Toward Strength and Speech

This year, Mykyta turns 10—he’s finishing third grade.
He tries very hard, strives to grow, reaches out to other children, and sincerely wants to be part of their world.

We’ve already come a long way. The first years of his life were extremely difficult, but we managed to achieve something important—we got him on his feet and helped him start speaking.
Now we’re in the second, equally important stage—helping him reach his full potential, learn to live more independently, and gain confidence.

Despite all our efforts, Mykyta still faces barriers.
Due to muscle weakness, it’s hard for him to move freely, run, and keep up with his peers.
And because of his slurred speech, it’s difficult for him to communicate fully, express his thoughts, and share his feelings.

That is exactly why he often finds himself a little on the sidelines…
Although on the inside, he is a very kind, sincere, and sensitive child. He always tries to help, never hurts anyone’s feelings, and has his own special, kind view of the world.

“After three years of socialization at school, I can see that we are moving in the right direction. Mykita tries hard and reaches out to other children, but his speech and physical condition remain barriers that prevent him from fully opening up," says his mother.

The boy’s greatest joy is animals. To him, they are true friends who understand without words and offer love and acceptance.

Mykita is not just a child. He is a person who is already shaping his own path and fighting every day for his “I can.”

Right now, regular rehabilitation and speech development are very important for him—this is exactly what will allow him to move more freely, communicate more, and become more independent.

His mom shares her heartfelt thoughts: "My biggest dream is to see my son move confidently, speak, and make friends without fear or barriers.
