Andriyko is learning to chew, and his mom takes him to specialists all the time. Before, his food was pureed in a blender, but now Viktoria mashes it with a fork. That’s huge progress!

Andriy has protein-energy malnutrition. He weighs only 20 kg. While other children choose ice cream or chocolate, he chooses what to eat so that his condition doesn’t get worse.

To grow and develop, Andriy needs special nutrition: Nutricia Liquigen, Nutridrink Compact Fibre, and Milupa puree.

Andriy lives with his mom and great-grandmother. In 2014, they left Donetsk, and recently moved out of a shelter because of Andriy’s allergies. They are currently renting an apartment, and almost all their money goes toward rent.

Andriyko reads and counts well. And after moving out of the shelter, he learned to wash his hands, brush his teeth, and get dressed.
