Power of good: opening new horizons for Tetyanka

16-year-old Tetiana is a sincere, kind and very bright girl who is adored by all her family and the specialists at the rehabilitation center where she is being treated. Tetiana has severe hypothyroidism (a hormonal disorder that affects development), developmental delays, and the following diagnoses:

- F80.1 – speech disorder, which manifests itself in difficulties with phrase construction and pronunciation,
- F70.1 – mild mental retardation with behavioral difficulties,
- motor impairment of the III-IV level according to the GMFCS scale – Tania can move only with aids.

The girl has positive energy and a sincere desire to communicate, despite all the challenges. But daily care for the child requires incredible effort and patience: dressing, moving, eating, communicating – everything is slower, more complicated, with many nuances. Mom is there 24/7, unable to work or rest. But despite all the difficulties, they are a sincere and bright family. They are always open to people, and whenever possible, they help others – with words, deeds, and support.

Tetiana regularly takes rehabilitation courses. Ahead is a new stage, without which it is impossible to move on. The program includes:

- consultation with a neurologist,
- electroencephalography (assessment of brain activity),
- TOMATIS therapy course (hearing and speech stimulation),
- acupuncture sessions (to reduce muscle tension and anxiety).

The family lives in one room of a shared apartment with relatives. Their only sources of income are the child's pension and the single mother's allowance. They appeal to everyone who cares to support this important step for the girl's health. Even a small contribution is a big help.
