Kira was born prematurely at 35 weeks, weighing just over 2.5 kg. As soon as she came into this world, she was taken to intensive care and placed on a ventilator. Her first days were a fight – against pneumonia, hypoxia, central nervous system damage, heart defects, and leg deformities…
This tiny warrior spent a month in hospitals before she was finally allowed to go home. But that wasn’t the end of her battle – it was only the beginning.
Now Kira is 9 years old. She has just finished 3rd grade and studies in an inclusive classroom. She loves math, reading, art school, and playing chess. She dreams of singing and learning to play the trombone. Her heart is open to life and knowledge. She is bright, curious, and hardworking… But her body can’t keep up with her dreams.
Today, Kira lives with several diagnoses: lower spastic paraparesis with persistent motor impairments, hypermetropic astigmatism, and a congenital heart defect. She regularly works at home with a physical therapist, psychologist, and speech therapist. But it’s not enough for her to move forward – literally.
Kira urgently needs a new round of intensive rehabilitation that will give her a real chance at a better future: more independence, less pain, and greater freedom.
Help Kira take a step toward her dream. Every donation is a sign of support. Every contribution is a spark of hope. Together, we can change her tomorrow.
