Hearing aids for Liubov

In July 2025, a project titled “Hearing Aids for Lyuba” was launched on the website of the dobro.ua. Its goal was to raise funds for hearing aids for Lyubov Stoyanova, a girl diagnosed with bilateral chronic combined hearing loss, Grade III. The total required amount was 107,100 UAH.

At the end of September, the fundraising was successfully completed, and on October 3 we made the payment for the hearing aids. Due to family circumstances, Lyuba and her mother were able to visit the doctor only on November 5, which also caused a delay in submitting the project report.

“Lyuba is very happy,” shares her mother, Inna.
“She is hearing so many new sounds she never heard before.”

Without hearing aids, Lyuba could perceive only fragments of sound — muffled, as if through thick glass. She struggled to understand speech, especially in noisy environments, to recognize familiar words, and to stay focused during learning. She would tire quickly, often feeling isolated even among friends, and her speech development was significantly slowed.

Conservative treatment brought no improvement, and the only effective solution was hearing rehabilitation — the installation of hearing aids that compensate for hearing loss and return the ability to hear fully.

Now, Lyuba has modern hearing aids that open an entirely new world for her — voices, whispers, music, her mother’s “I love you”. She can communicate freely, learn, and grow.
