To give the youngest patients a better chance of survival and recovery, SOCAR, in partnership with the charitable organisation International Charitable Foundation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ (dobro.ua), launched the charity project ‘SOCAR: ENERGY OF LIFE’. The aim of the project was to raise funds for a state-of-the-art transport incubator with a ventilator for the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care for Newborns at the Centre for Neonatology within the ‘1st Territorial Medical Association of Lviv’ Municipal Non-Profit Organisation, specifically the ‘St Nicholas Hospital’ branch. This equipment is vital for the safe transport of newborns in critical condition, as it maintains an optimal body temperature, provides respiratory support and ensures continuous monitoring of the child’s condition during transport.

At the Neonatology Centre, children with various congenital conditions can undergo the necessary examinations, receive highly specialised treatment and, where necessary, undergo surgery. Since the outbreak of full-scale war, the workload on the hospital has more than tripled due to the increase in the number of internally displaced persons seeking medical assistance.

To ensure the safe transport of newborns between departments at St Nicholas Children’s Hospital, the medical facility required a modern transport incubator fitted with a ventilator. This equipment enables vital functions to be maintained during transport and ensures safe conditions even for the smallest patients in critical condition. Thanks to the support of SOCAR and charitable donors, the project was successfully implemented.

The project was implemented by the Charitable Organisation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’.

The equipment was supplied by ‘N.Z.Techno’ Trade and Industrial Company Ltd.

Payment for the transport incubator was made on 23 March 2026.

On 24 March 2026, we are handing over a state-of-the-art transport incubator, equipped with a ventilator and a skin temperature sensor, to the Neonatology Centre at the St Nicholas Hospital.
