"Sunny" cooking classes

We ask for your help in carrying out cooking classes for disabled people. During cooking classes disabled young people with mental issues learn how to cook, communicate and co-operate one with another and as a group. For them, it is a real adventure. Skills that are daily, elementary, unimportant and routine activities for you, can be really challenging for disabled young people.

Becoming independent is a necessity for them that needs everyday practice. Young people do not want to be a load for their parents or for society. Our help for “sunny” people in socialization and developing self-servicing skills is important for their everyday life.

There is an equipped space for providing cooking classes in "Caritas Kyiv" but there is a constant need for food that will be used during classes. Although each cooking-class requires little expense, it is important for them to be systematic. The expense for one class is approximately 500 hryvnias. To carry out 50 such events it is necessary to raise 25 000 UAH. Please contribute to fundraising.
