The Path to Recovery: Healthy Aging Remedies

In March 2024, the project “Path to Recovery: Means of Healthy Aging” was posted on the platform of the ICF “UBB” dobro.ua for the amount of UAH 51,040.00. The main category of the project is lonely elderly people. The overall goal of the project is to allow persons with temporary or permanent limitations to temporarily use rehabilitation equipment or receive rehabilitation services in the city, at the provider’s premises. In January 2026, the project collection was completed and funds in the amount of UAH 51,040.00 were received. and in February 2026, medical equipment was purchased to provide basic physical rehabilitation services to the elderly, which helps improve their physical and psychological condition. Physiotherapy and physical therapy help maintain independence, improve quality of life, reduce the risk of disease and social isolation. Classes with a physiotherapist will help reduce pain, improve motor activity and well-being of women and men. Participation in group classes will help reduce feelings of loneliness and social isolation, which will increase morale and promote healthy aging. In the long term, such classes will help reduce the risk of developing comorbidities, which will improve the quality of life of the elderly.
