Sad fairy tale of Zlata

Curly-haired baby, mother's princess... And what a beautiful name – Zlata, just fabulous! But the story of the girl is as if from an eerie fairy tale. It all started long before her birth. At the 12th week of pregnancy, during the first ultrasound, doctors have already seen the red light. They suggested an additional examination, which showed the genetic disorder. However, the doctor assured the parents that there were no serious deviations and, most likely, the child would be able to fully develop. Mother and father were young, full of hope and faith in medicine, and decided to give birth.

Zlata was born on time, however the problems have taken place even in the delivery room. The baby did not scream, so the resuscitation measures have been carried out urgently. The very next day the child was diagnosed with the malformation of the heart. At 3 months, the first operation was performed, it took three surgeries in total in order the baby's heart worked properly.

When Zlata was one year old, she couldn't sit down, she could not even turn over herself. The parents turned to doctors, and they suspected the genetic disorder, and the examination in Kharkov confirmed this. Tests showed a deletion of the 8-th chromosome by the 9-th. Zlata was prescribed symptomatic treatment and massages. She is a very capable girl, and within two months she has shown promising results. The baby sat down herself, became much more active and cheerful. Rays of hopes arose in the hearts of parents.

When Zlata was three years old, her mother turned to a private clinic for help. A professional neurologist has developed a special program of treatment for the girl. And after a while, the baby was already walking herself. Three years flew by. Now Zlata is six years old. She is an active and jolly child. She walks, jumps, loves to play ball and participate in all the fun on the children's playground. The girl understands the addressed speech, listens to songs with pleasure and watches cartoons.

But the baby doesn't speak, she still doesn't know how to swallow and chew hard food, her mother has to prepare special mixtures so that she could eat.

What next? Only God knows. And the girl's mother is sure that without the joint efforts of the family, doctors, caring people and their financial aid, the baby won't have a chance for a normal, full life. Let's help Zlata together!
