Anna, Liubov's mother, always dreamed of having a daughter. However, the pregnancy was very difficult, and congenital sensorineural hearing loss was only diagnosed when Liubov was undergoing a medical examination for the first grade.
Fleeing the war, the family evacuated from Donetsk region to Lviv. As a single mother raising four children, adapting and rebuilding their lives in a new place is no easy task.
Despite her diagnosis, 13-year-old Liubov is growing up to be an incredibly empathetic and talented girl. She studies at a specialized school, actively learns sign language, and already helps teachers communicate with children who cannot speak at all. In her free time, Liubov draws with pencils and weaves bead jewelry.
Liubov has grade І-ІІ sensorineural hearing loss. This means she can hear sounds, but they are muffled and blurry, making it difficult for her to distinguish words. Modern hearing aids will help the girl clearly understand her teachers, feel safe on the streets of the city, and simply enjoy her childhood.
Unfortunately, the hearing aids available under the government program are not suitable for Liubov. Instead, specialists at the clinic have already selected customized devices that best compensate for the child's hearing.
For a mother raising four children alone far from home, buying such customized devices is simply unaffordable. Your contribution is a chance for a girl who helps others find common ground with the world every day to finally fully hear it herself
