Miracles happen when you least expect them. 30 December was a day of true pre-New Year magic for Sofiika. She received brand new Oticon Xceed hearing aids – powerful, reliable and vitally important. Without them, Sofia would have been left alone with silence.

   Her old devices had long since worn out: they buzzed, squeaked, hissed, distorted sounds, and words were lost. The world sounded fragmented, forcing her to make excessive efforts to hear and understand.

   New hearing aids for Sofia mean the opportunity to learn and communicate, hear her teachers and friends' voices, do the things she loves, and plan for her future.

‘This is the happiest day for us,’ says her mother, Iryna. "It's the best New Year's gift, a dream come true that we believed in with all our hearts. Thank you!"
