Anyone who has been with us for a long time remembers Sonia: seven years ago, we bought hearing aids for her as a result of the Interpipe Dnipro Half Marathon 2018 fundraiser. Now Sophia is in the tenth grade and dreams of becoming a designer. Her hearing aids have worn out. But we can keep Sonia connected to the world! 

Sofia has a bilateral sensorineural hearing loss: her right ear cannot hear at all, and her left ear can only hear loud sounds from close up.

She went to first grade wearing hearing aids bought by her family. Unfortunately, they didn't fit well, and the girl's hearing deteriorated.

Then there was a whole special operation, during which our friends - participants of the half marathon - fundraised money for Sonya's devices. “She unwraps the candy and hears the rustle of a piece of paper,” her mother wrote to us. - “She puts them on in the morning, takes them off in the evening and is very happy. Even when you speak in a whisper, she can hear. Thank you very much!” 

Unfortunately, the service life of hearing aids is five years. The devices that we bought as a result of that campaign are already worn out: they make beeps, squeaks and hisses.

Hearing aids are the only opportunity for Sonya to study, communicate, do her favorite things, and plan her future. Without them, she will be isolated from the outside world.

At the Diagnostic and Treatment Center “Hear-Service”, the girl was fitted with new Oticon Xceed hearing aids. The family cannot raise this amount of money on their own. Dear friends, let's support Sofia and give her the opportunity to hear!
