Camp for children from crisis families

For most children, summer camp is the only opportunity to forget about all the difficulties in their lives, about negative experiences and pain, heal physical and mental wounds, and find new friends. All of us together are able to fill the lives of children from families in crisis during the summer holidays with a thirst for adventure and sports, a sincere atmosphere and sincere communication.

СO "CF "Caritas-Khmelnytskyi UGCC" has been holding summer camps since 2012 within the framework of the project "Social and pedagogical work with children and youth in Ukraine". During this time, about 500 children received emotional, psychological and physical assistance. And also children can get sports, labor, household skills, develop their artistic, acting and dancing abilities, because the summer camp is held according to the Pedagogy of Adventure methodology, which helps children overcome past negative, traumatic experiences by filling life with pleasant emotions, new, positive experience.

This year, the world was captured by the corona virus epidemic, and this further increases the need for children from families in crisis to change their environment, get out of the four walls of constant quarrels, disagreements and get emotional relief. Today 10 children from crisis families need support.

The camp will be held on the basis of a family-type recreation center to restore the health of disabled children and other groups of the population with disabilities "The Coast of Hope", located in the village of  Golovchintsy Khmelnitskyi region. The rest will last 14 days. A very professional team of psychologists, social workers and volunteers who have a lot of experience will work with adolescents and young people.
