Premature birth is almost always unexpected, they are frightened by the uncertainty of the outcome, worries because fears about the health of a baby who is born prematurely are at the forefront. Modern methods of emergency care and nursing of premature babies born between 26 and 28 weeks, allow most children to save lives. But this requires the presence of modern equipment in hospitals.

Babies born between 28 and 32 weeks will have more serious problems with spontaneous breathing due to the immaturity of the lungs, and they are more likely to need assistance in the form of assisted (CPAP) or artificial ventilation. Also, this category of children more often has other problems related to immaturity: they are more vulnerable to infection, cerebral circulation disorders, hemorrhages, non-specific enterocolitis (NEC), and development of vision problems (retinopathy). Nursing takes more time, effort, patience and resources. However, at the present level of neonatal care, the chance for these children to survive is quite high - 95–98%. And many of these children grow up completely healthy in the future.

Infusion therapy is currently one of the most important therapeutic measures during the care of premature babies, designed to solve a wide range of medical problems. None of the modern methods of intensive care and resuscitation is complete without the use of an infusion. It provides the input of medicines and nutrition for children.

Modern infusion therapy in many cases requires the introduction of the drug for a long time by microdoses, which is technically impossible without infusion syringe pumps of dispensers (infusomats) for infusion therapy. These are the most promising devices that allow you to accurately calculate the required dose and rate of administration of the drug, as well as protect against air from entering the vein at the end of the procedure.

Infusomat plays an important role in clinical practice in the treatment of prematurely born children – it allows you to enter drugs in exactly the calculated dosage, avoiding its excess. Most often, syringe pumps (dispensers) are used in intensive care units, as well as for anesthesia during surgical procedures. Syringe pumps (infusomats) – this is something without which it is impossible to leave a child.

The goal of our project is with your help to help the care unit for prematurely born babies in the Rivne Regional Children's Hospital. For 66 270 UAH, we will be able to purchase a two-channel syringe pump that will, with a precision of a drop, inject medicines and nutrition to babies.
