Just breathe

In December 2020, the Sail of Hope Charitable Foundation, together with the Ukrainian Charity Exchange dobro.ua, opened the project "You Just Breathe" to raise funds for a ventilator for the Odessa Regional Children's Hospital. A device that should help save the life of more than one cancer patient. The initial amount of the project was UAH 506,000.00. But, in connection with the situation in the country, namely, the war began, the head of the fund decided to stop this project, and the collected funds in the amount of UAH 11,900.11. allocate for the purchase of drugs that facilitate the well-being of children during chemo.
Chemotherapy is a very painful procedure - it destroys not only cancer cells, but also thousands of healthy ones, gives complications to the liver and stomach. Therefore, the fund purchased two types of drugs - "Heptral", which promotes the functioning of the liver and helps to remove toxins from the body - in the amount of UAH 8,536.00 and "Kvamatel", which helps preserve the functions of the stomach and intestines - in the amount of UAH 4,171.50 . . Total for the amount of 12707.50 UAH. We thank everyone who helped our children!
