Timothy: study or treat?

This summer Timothy's family changed their place of living and settled in the suburbs of Kyiv. The school, where the boy studies, is in Kyiv. This alone wouldn't be a problem if only our student doesn’t live with a serious illness that requires special attention. Now, in addition to the morning and evening treatments, Timothy also needs to do a number of inhalations during the day. But you can't go home during the break now. "To study or to be treated?": There is really no choice because the guy will not be able to breathe normally without treatment. In order for Timothy to go to school without any harm to his health, the necessary equipment should be installed in the school medical office. 

Cystic fibrosis is really a serious disease. It imposes many restrictions. In order to simply live, both the patient and his family have to make a lot of effort. And in order for this life to be active and not limited to the walls of the house, ten times more effort is required. 

Today, cystic fibrosis is considered to be incurable, although research is ongoing and the first medicines to show good results are already emerging in the US. But for now, the reality is this: our patients will have to live with this diagnosis for years. However, while we cannot make them completely free, we can help them to manage the disease and prevent it from becoming the main thing in their lives. If medical treatment is comprehensive, the situation will be under control.
Now Timothy is 10, he is an active, lively child who likes to be in the company. He goes to the karate section. He is keen on computer games and is about to become an IT specialist when he grows up.

We can give the boy the freedom to grow, to do what he wants. Please support the project, let Timothy manage his life, and not the disease rules his life. At UBB, we are raising funds for an inhaler and supplies for it, a trampoline and a breathing simulator for a guy.
