We need to save the child

Masha is only 6 months old and now she is one of the most serious patients with cystic fibrosis in Ukraine. Her mother called us from Cherkasy intensive care unit, and we were thinking together what to do. Masha has a very low weight. She is only 4.5 kg being 6 months old! Due to the main diagnosis shortly after the birth of Masha, they had to put the colostomy. Now it looks like the baby does not gain weight because of it, but it's also not possible to do the stoma reversal now. The doctors say she should grow at least up to 6 kg. 

It is obvious that this goal cannot be achieved with the usual nutrition, and the time plays against the child. Cystic fibrosis itself carries a number of dangers and factor of weight is an important one. So, the only hope is special high-calorie meals. In this situation, every 100 grams is an achievement and joy!

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disorder affecting the entire body, especially the respiratory and digestive system. Since she was born Masha was unlucky to have a severe form of the disease, and nobody could influence it. But we can change the situation for this little girl and let her feel the kindness of the world she came to. The family budget is run down by Masha’s stay in the intensive care unit, thus the family kindly asks for help. We have already given the medical equipment necessary for the daily maintenance of cystic fibrosis to the baby. Now we have to help with the purchase of special food. We have to save the kid.

Masha has a long struggle ahead. But now it depends on whether the kid can gain weight and how fast it will be.
