EVA Inclusion and Correction Center needs help

Many years the Charity Organization "Foundation of Direct Help" aims at providing help for the children with cancer or other diseases resulting in disability. Our questions to the parents revealed that Ukraine has solid gap in terms of accessible rehabilitation for such children. The state pays for the service once a year according to what the budget provides for, if anything, burdening the parents to pay the rest.

The average cost of rehabilitation of one child in Kyiv is about UAH 45,000 per month, which is usually skyrocketing sum for a family. That is why the Foundation of Direct Help established the EVA Inclusion and Correction Center in 2021.

The EVA Center is the only in Ukraine where child rehabilitation engages parents aiming to instruct them to assist their children with expertise, while the service is free of charge. More than 300 children undergo personal rehabilitation and socialization at the center every year. There are psychologists, a correctional psychologist, a speech and language therapist, an ART therapist, an exercise room trainer, a swimming trainer, and a massage therapist in the center.

The Eva Center is a place where parents and their children come to get help and not only in rehabilitation. Our center is a large, cozy space welcoming anyone who comes. The children, parents and the expert team are always in communication. The professional psychologist is available for those parents who ask such help.

In our difficult times, we have been serving as the hub of steadiness as we have a generator, providing reliable heat and light.

The center has a goal to help the disabled children and their parents. Our major corporate donators are our source of activity.

The purpose of this project is to ensure the functioning of the charitable Center for children with disabilities. Therefore, at dobro.ua, we are raising funds that will fully cover its operation for one month. Currently, the average monthly need is UAH 609,310, which includes expenses for renting premises, paying for the work of specialists, maintaining the pool and other premises of the Center, as well as other expenses necessary for the full functioning of the center and rehabilitation.
