Spending time with friends, cooking meals together, going to the store or cinema, sharing joy and worries – these are simple things every young person dreams of.
But for someone with psychosocial or complex disabilities, these everyday joys are often out of reach – not by choice, but because the system still fails to provide conditions for them to belong.
After finishing school, many of these young people stay home – without space for communication, learning, or new experiences. Their parents live under constant pressure, with no alternatives.
What we do? The NGO "Dream Workshop" created Day Centers – safe spaces where young people with disabilities receive daily support, develop skills, gain confidence, and feel part of the community.
Our Day Center offers:
-
daily life and self-care skills;
-
cooking and shared meals;
-
emotional education and anxiety regulation;
-
financial literacy in accessible formats;
-
music therapy, creativity, and book club;
-
participation in community life – excursions, workshops, and camps, including in the mountains and abroad
It’s an ordinary space – but here, young people receive daily support, connection, and a chance to grow.
Why we need your support? We are raising 204,600 UAH to cover the rent of one Day Center through the end of 2025.
Thanks to your support, 14 young people with disabilities will have a safe, welcoming place to learn, socialize, and grow — every day.
Who we are? "Dream Workshop" is an NGO founded in 2015. We create opportunities for young people with disabilities to live with dignity – not in isolation, but within society.
Our areas of work:
-
Day Centers – meaningful daily routines, support, and development;
-
Supported living Houses – alternatives to living in closed institutions (internats) and psychiatric hospitals;
-
Family support – psychologists, professionals, and consultations;
-
Public advocacy and education – changing attitudes toward people with disabilities.
Our Day Centers currently serve 25 young people, 12 of whom used to live in institutions and are now experiencing community life for the first time.
Your help can transform lives. Your support means more than rent. It means stability for families, growth for young people, and everyday victories that change the future.
Support our Day Care Center – and help 14 young people stay seen, supported, and included!
