Concern for the future

Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (IPAG) is a budget institution providing all kinds of medical and preventive care for mothers and children. Clinical departments of the Institute take on treatment the heaviest contingent of patients from all regions of Ukraine, especially those patients who cannot provide assistance at the place of residence, the institute performs the role of the last instance where pregnant women and sick children come for recovery.

The basis of any treatment is the correct and timely diagnosis of the patient's disease. Every year more than 7,500 patients undergo ultrasound and functional diagnostics at the Department of Ultrasound and Functional Diagnosis of IPAG and more than 17,000 studies are conducted.

Some patients need a series of studies in dynamics. About 50 examinations are performed daily on the ultrasound machine. With this diagnosis, physicians detect internal organ disease, hemorrhage and functional abnormalities in infants and pregnant women, and can therefore help them as quickly as possible. It is for the quality diagnostics we are raising funds to purchase 2 ultrasound sensors for the ultrasound and functional diagnostics department.

"Caring for the Future" is an initiative of a team of 23 volunteers and the Charitable Foundation "KOLO". For us, this project is an opportunity to give kids a healthy life and make their parents happy.
